The Bayern Munich winger has conceded defeat to Borussia Dortmund for the Bundesliga title this year and admits lifting the crown would be a miracle.
The Bavarian giants have had a contrasting second-half of the season and have slipped to second place on the standings table. They are a staggering seven points behind reigning champions, Borussia Dortmund, with 10 games to go
until the season ends.
Muller stated that the recent run of results is not because of bad luck but it is also a failure for his side. The player admitted that the team have not been up to the mark after the mid-season break and there is a need of improvement
in many areas.
The German international is also disappointed with his form this season and has admitted that the results would have been different had he performed better. Muller regarded Borussia Dortmund as favourites to win the title as they
have been in sensational form all season.
The 22-year old stressed that it will take something extraordinary from his side to win the league this season and it will surely be a miracle if Bayern lift the trophy.
“It is not only bad luck, but also failure. This year I've scored few goals for my opportunities. And if you add up everything, Dortmund are simply d**n consistent in comparison to us. To catch up, something extraordinary would
have to happen,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.

will have to find their lost touch and the team have to be consistent.
“We need to rediscover our old selves and work really hard. Every player has to do everything for the cause,” he concluded.
The Munich giants will next take on Hoffenheim at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, March 10. The home side will be in search of their 16th league win of the ongoing campaign so that they remain on the heels of Borussia
Dortmund.
