Thomas Muller, who has started the season on a promising note, claimed that the team has started the proceedings brilliantly and is confident that the team will continue playing well. He is confident that his side will secure an
easy win at home this weekend against Mainz, but is certainly not being complacent.
The German international admitted that any lapse in concentration at this stage of the season can prove deadly for his side, who are aiming to win their first league title after two years.
“We're on a good run, and all of us have tasted success with our national teams as well. Everything points to a home win. They've generally been very difficult opponents in recent years. Their physical, hard-running game makes
them tough to break down,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The attacking midfielder stressed that the team has a very tough schedule coming up as they will have to play up to two games in a week until December. He wants the side to play with consistency throughout the course of the season
to make sure Bayern remain successful.
“Naturally, we’re determined to stay on track. I've had a look at the schedule, and the next time we don't have a midweek game or an international is the middle of December. We'll be training less and travelling more, but we still
have to turn in a top performance every three days,” he concluded.
Thomas Muller has scored three times in the two league games he has played this season. The attacker was not in the best of form last season as he found the net on 11 occasions in the 53 games he took part in.
