Thomas Paine's "Common Sense" will you read it?????

I'm not so much asking a question as much as I'm asking a favor from ALL of you..... Could you find it in yourselves to read the great work that is Thomas Paine's "Common Sense" ???? Not only that, but will you get your friends to read it?? Can we get more than 50% of the American population to read it???? For those who have no idea what I'm even talking bout, it is a pamphlet written in Jan/Feb of 1776 that sparked the idea of American revolution/ independence. While the context in which it was written is far different from today, the ideas contained in it are everlasting, and perhaps more important today than any other time since 1776..... So can you do me this favor and educate yourself on this document???

  4. Ditto! In Common Sense, Thomas Paine argues for American independence. His argument begins with more general, theoretical reflections about government and religion, then progresses onto the specifics of the colonial situation. Good reading. Check it out:
