The Werder Bremen manager admitted that his side wasted a host of chances to secure all three points and is hopeful of a strong comeback.

Thomas Schaaf claimed that his side worked hard for the draw. He admitted that the team made many mistakes in the game and could have easily won the match if they had taken their chances throughout the course of 90 minutes. He
stated that the players played well to create chances but he finishing was not up to the mark.
However, he insisted that the opposition played very well to score the early goal and admitted that a draw was a fair result for both sides.
“We put in a big effort today, but once again made a lot of mistakes. In that respect we've stayed true to our form in the second half of the season. A 1-1 draw was more than deserved. In the future we need to be more clinical
with our actions,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, new Hoffenheim manager Markus Babbel was delighted with his team’s display. He claimed that the team had adjusted brilliantly to the new tactics and were brilliant in the away game. However, he felt that all
three points would have been possible if a late goal was not conceded.
“A huge compliment to my troupe! They have adjusted really well to the new coaching staff even after just one training session. Unfortunately they ended up not being rewarded for their endeavour, but a 1-1 draw was a just result,”
he concluded.
Werder Bremen will travel to Hamburg in their next Bundesliga fixture on Saturday, February 18. The River Islanders are currently in fifth place with 33 points from the 21 games played this far and have had an impressive season.
