Thomas Vermaelen commits future to Arsenal – Premier League Update
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thomas-Vermaelen-c35002 has gone on to commit his future to the Emirates, as he has vowed to stick around for as long as he possible can, while assuring everyone that he has no intention of leaving the club at any point
in the future.
The defender believes the players at the club should look to make a name for themselves at the Emirates and look to win trophies with the North London team, instead of looking to move away in search of glory.
The defender is quoted to have said: “People always think that when times are difficult it will be better if they go to another club. But when it's tough, it doesn't mean you have to quit. You have to fight for it.

“You can always go somewhere else but it doesn’t mean that somewhere else is better. Arsenal is a really nice club and I feel at home here. The board, the boss and the fans give me a lot of belief. Why should I leave?"

The defender then went on to turn his attention to the contract extension he made with the club, as he is quoted to have said: “I think we can challenge the other clubs in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, like Manchester City and Manchester United”

“We had to look out ourselves when our start to this season wasn’t perfect. We had to fight for every point and we did that. I believe we can now grow and get better and better.”
Vermaelen has gone on to show his class and form for the Gunners in recent weeks and has been in top form for the team. His defending has been superb and his ability to get forward and cause problems in the opposing half has also been at an all time high
for the club.
If Arsenal can manage to retain the defender on a long term basis, they could stop worrying about bringing in a world class defender, since the Belgian is easily amongst the best in the world at what he does.
However, the only drawback that he does have, is he recurring injuries, which if avoided could be highly profitable for the player and the team.
