went on to score Villas second goal of the game.
As the Arsenal players walked off the pitch, they were booed by the fans who seemed to have had enough of the team’s poor performances.

As a result, Arsenal went on to win the game by three goals to two and finally gave the fans something to cheer about.
Vermaelen has now gone on to reveal that despite the team being down by two goals at the half time break, they never really started to worry about the game, since they were well aware of the fact that they could get back in the match.
The Belgian international is quoted to have said: “It was a bit of a shock to be 2-0 down at half time because if you look at the way we played, we were quite aggressive and had some good opportunities to score, but Villa got a 2-0 lead"
“I was still confident at half time. We were the better team the whole game, we were never really under pressure.
“You could see that even in the first half we wanted to put them under pressure straight away, we wanted to keep the tempo high when we had the ball and we did that. In the second half we had that little bit of luck to score the goals.”
The mentality and determination that Arsenal showed, is just what the fans had been asking for. Now that the team has proven that they can turn around a two goal defict with ease, the fans are more confident in the team and their capabilities.
Should the North London club keep performing in the same manner, they could easily go on and secure a top four finish at the end of the season.
