Thomaz Bellucci leads elite eight in ATP Challenger Tour Finals next week – Tennis

The eight-players for the ATP Challenger tour Finals are being announced and it includes the eight qualifiers Rui Machado (POR), Martin Klizan (SVK), Andreas Beck (GER), Matthias Bachinger (GER), Dudi Sela (ISR), Bobby Reynolds
(USA) and Cedrik-Marcel Stebe (GER) will fly to Sao Paulo where they meet the wild card entrant Brazilian No. 1, Thomaz Bellucci, to contest for the title.
World No.80, Machado, is the top seed in the BVA Open Challenger tournament going on in Brazil and is seeking for this fifth challenger title this season.
Titles for Genova and Rome and San Marino helped World No.88, Klizan, to clinch the second spot.
World No.90, Bachinger, won the Athens title, was runner up at Pingguo, Nottingham and Granby, and reached the semi-finals at Courmayuer and Guangzhou. All these achievements helped him to make it to the ATP Challengers tour Finals.
Former world number 29 Sela, is playing ATP Challenger tournaments to boost his ranking since he has slipped down to 97 this season. He defeated Bellucci in the first round of the US Open before he faced a second round exit at
the hand of the legendry former World No.1, Roger Federer.
The fifth qualifier for the tournament is World No.101, Stebe. He has reached three finals and was crowned champion in Bangkok and Shanghai; he was also the runners-up in the tournament played in Kyoto and played semi-finals in
Guangzhou, Pingguo, Oberstaufen and Ningbo.
World No.112, Beck, featured in finals of the challenger tournaments in Kazan, Bath, Rome, Oberstaufen and Como that helped him to clinch the third spot. He was also the semi-finalist of the tournaments in Monza, Naples and Orleans.
Reynolds, won a couple of titles in Tulsa and Leon and was runners-up in Rimouski and Winetka. He also featured in the semi-finals of the tournament at Tallahassee and Vancouver. He made his way to the Challenger Final tour with
the help of all these accomplishments.
The last man to enter the tournament as a wildcard entrant is the local hero and Brazilian No.1, Bellucci. All these players will lock horns for the Challenger tour Finale and prize money of $ 220,000. The tournament will take
place in Ibirapuera Gymnasium in São Paulo from 16-20 November.
