Thompson center icon?

is this rifle worth 800$ it looks like it is its beutiful! has anybody shot one? would u feel comfortable shooting a deer at 350 yards with one in .308? or should i just get a cheaper savage or remington 700? i have the money and i was wondering about this new rifle give me as much info about the icon as possible and the person with the most info will be rewarded 10 points

Personally i have never shot the TC icon but my best friend owns one in the 243. He says it is pretty good and he is glad he bought it but would have probally preffered the Tikka or Remington.

But that is his opinion, I thought it was a nice looking gun and i was thinking of maybe getting one too. I suggest you go to a store and try it out on your shoulder and then try the remington model 700 aswell
