Thoroughbred retraining barns in NY?

Question

I'm looking for a place to internship this summer and I would like to do it at a barn that does OTTB's. Does anyone know of any in central NY? I live in oneonta, and don't want to have to travel too far.

Contact New York Horse Rescue - www.nyhr.org - for information on farms in the state. They do a fantastic job and are great people.

And it seems they need help, physical help not just monetary help.

Also try Saratoga Springs if you are closer to that area, but the finger lakes area is beautiful too. And this seems like a good place.

It is a wonderful thing you want to do, I salute you. And When I get back to the states, I am going to look to put my talents toward helping ex-race horses. Great and inspiring Q. before I didn't know there were so many places like this. And in fact this one is fairly knew.
