Those not from london - What do you think of it?

Maybe you have a different view of it.. what did you think when you went there, or what are your impressions of it if you haven't been there but heard about it?

  1. London... I was there when I was a little kid.  I remember it being overcast a lot, but it's such a nice place.  A lot of nice people.  I adore the accents.  I'm from Wisconsin, midwest, so it's a big difference.  I would definitely move to London if I had the chance.  The one thing I don't understand is why you guys drive on the opposite side! ;)

I absolutely love London.  There is just something about the city that I have never experienced in any other city - especially summer nights!  I think that Americans go to London expecting everyone to be prim and proper and that's not the case, of course.  Public transport is great and I am one of few people who actually like the grey/rainy weather. The one thing that surprised me the first time I visited was that so many people you come into contact with are not British at all  - the prevalence of immigrants was not what I expected.
