Those of you from another culture who went far off to college, like the other side of the U.S.? Please help?

How do you adjust to food when you go far off to college and you don't get the traditional indian food if your indian??? or japanese food if your from japan? how do you get used to eating american food everyday?

  1. The more you eat it, the more you get used to it, and you will find things that you particularly like.  You will also really appreciate your home food when you have a chance to eat it again!


  2. Have you ever been to Mcdonalds? Or had a good slice of pizza? Believe me it wont be to hard to adjust to eating that kind of stuff. Why do you think Americans have an obesity problem, becuase we eat so d**n good. I am almost 99% certain that whatever college town you are going to will have an authentic indian, or middle eastern place near by so you can get some "home cooking". There will be other students from your country there to so your not alone. Since you are going to be here you might as well try the classic american cuisine . I remember being depolyed to Iraq and having the chance to eat all the middle eastern dishes many of which i still like today. Take in the culture thats what its all about. I hope you enjoy your stay. You should have no problem adapting. You can always have it imported if all else fails
