What part of the country do you live in? How many illegal immigrants are there?

I'd say that considering 70% (almost) of the population is Mexican, I'd say that 75% of Mexicans in or around Chicago are illegal.

I'm curious, how many people are FOR illegal immigration?

I live in Virginia and, according to what I'm told by friends in the construction industry, there are quite a few illegals here.  The construction companies like to take advantage of them because they will take slave wages and not complain.

Personally, I have no problem with immigrants as long as they have come here legally.  If, however, they break our laws to get here then, IMHO, they are criminals and should be treated as such.

Some like to call them "undocumented workers."  Well, that's like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist."

Every time the media - or a Democrat - uses the phrase "Illegal Immigration" they are promoting one of Karl Rove's most potent Republican Party frames.

The reality is that we don't have an "Illegal Immigration" problem in America. We have an "Illegal Employer" problem.

I think I already answered this once today. I live in Arizona and I am not sure how many illegal immigrants live here, I can't tell a legal citizen from an illegal one just by looking.. maybe 3 or 4 or maybe 10,000.

I live in NE AR and I don't know the exact # but over the last few  years it has almost doubled from what it was. In the city  an  hour from here they have a place that used to be for mostly college students but now college students are afraid to live there because it has been overrun with illegals and crime rate has gone sky high. Police are there so much that they just about a cop car sitting on every block round the clock. so it's getting bad.

I'm from Missouri and we have a lot of illegals here in the state but my state governor is doing something about it. The illegals get more out of the state than they put in and is unfair.

I live in a small town in the midwest where we have a meat processing plant. Over the past several years, the population of illegal immigrants in this town has increased dramatically. We have historic homes that used to be beautiful now littered with junk and broken windows due to the several families living within them. These illegal immigrants get public assistance, drive around with no licenses, live in single homes together, make tons of money due to paying no taxes, show no desire to speak english, use stolen social security numbers, traffic drugs in plain site of law enforcement, they put their children thru the private Catholic schools for free while the rest of us have to pay an arm and a leg to send our AMERICAN children there, and they get everything handed to them on a red, white, and blue platter. Doing either one of my jobs is nearly impossible because it's hard to communicate with them. DONT say I need to speak spanish, because I don't LIVE in Mexico. THEY are in the heart of the midwest and, in my opinion, if they made it this far into this country, they should learn the bare essentials of MY primary language.

They are unscreened for diseases. ( They brought A.I.D.S. To America )

They are the cause of overpopulation in schools and cities.

They often commit Identity theft.

They think we need to learn thier language.

I live in Illinois. The illegal alien numbers are estimated at 700,000 ( I suspect that number is higher). The known sanctuary cities are Chicago, Cicero, Evanston, Belvidere, Addison and Rockford ( my hometown). Citizens of Illinois are so fed up and disgusted with our sanctuary policies that, for the first time in state history, there is a serious initiative to pass legislation for the recall of our governor, judges, and elected officials.

I live in Arizona and I really couldn't tell you how many illegal immigrants are here, but I do know there are more than there should be. You cannot live here without coming in contact with them at some point. With legal means available to acquire citizenship or work visas, there is really no excuse to resort to breaking the laws of the land. All that does is declare contempt for the host country, its laws and citizens.

who are any of you to call someone a criminal just because they stepped foot on a piece of land. thats all it really is. all of you are just contradicting yourselves. all of you should all leave because your ancestors migrated and stepped foot on this land. their are real criminals walking the streets and the government just decides to go after a group of hardworking people, who just come here to have a better life.

I live in maine and I think our illegal immigrant problem may be a bit different.  We have a town--Lewiston--where illegal immigrants from Somalia have settled in large numbers.  They have been given access to housing, small business loans, heating assistance, and can and do hold public office.  But no passprt or green card.  Of all the things that p**s me off it's the heating assistance.  Oil is ridiculous at about $4.65 a gallon, and we go through about 300 gallons every winter PLUS heat with wood which is about $150 a cord--we go through about 4 cord a season.  I would LOVE to be illegal--I could quit my d**n job and be warmer.
