I hope so. But why are you saving for a non-future?

  1. No

  2. Yes I do.  And actually, I have a rapture clause in my will - in the event of mass disappearances AND myself, my wife, and my children can not be located within 6 months, then my 401k along with all my inheritance goes to the first person of any blood relation who can be found and submits an affidavit.

I also have one because, scripturally, "the end" can happen at any time, even as late as 2068 or later - provided the last person who saw Israel reborn lives to be over 120.  If so, I plan on cashing in.

  3. OOOOOOOO!  Good one!  You get starred!

  4. It's stupid to plan like that for a day that no one, not even the Son, but only the Father knows.

Relative time is slow for God, which is why he is said to be "a patient God" or "a year is like a 1000 in your eyes".

Who knows, it could even be after everyone on this earth is long gone...

  5. Yes I have one...not very much in it though.  Who knows when Jesus will return?  Could be tomorrow or twenty years from now.  The bible says, to the Lord, a day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years a day.  His timing is much different than mine.

  6. Yes, a 401K, a house, a car, health insurance, savings account, etc

Since we do not know the day or hour, we are under obligation to plan for our needs, because 1st Timothy 5:8 says, if we don't take care of our own, especially those in our own household, we are worse than a person without any faith at all.

With the question stated as is, we would never get a tank full of gas. We would only get what we needed for the day because tomorrow may be IT. We would never shop for more than today's groceries for the same reason.
