Was it easy or hard? Please rate it from 1-10. 10 the hardest.

I just took it yesterday and it wasn't as hard as I expected. If only I studied. hahah. I'm pretty sure I flunked math 'coz I only answered 11 items out of 60. : )

How was your exam experience?

(Sana may pumatol dito sa tanong na ito di tulad dun sa friendster....)

  1. I'll go for 10...

especially math.. d**n.. that's the hardest part..

  2. I took the UPCAT in August 1999.  I passed the UPCAT and studied in Diliman.

I did not find it too hard although Math was (well, numbers have always been my waterloo).  I also did not finish answering all those Math questions because they said there was a right-minus-wrong clause.  I only answered those that I know I had the highest probability of getting the correct answer.

The UPCAT weirded me out in a way because there were Filipino questions in Science and Math categories.  I thought it was pretty cool though.

    I'll give it an 8.

The best of luck to you.  :)

  3. UP was average in difficulty. I'd give it a score of 7. I took UP, Ateneo and La Salle entrance exams.

Ateneo was the most difficult. I barely finished. In my school, only 11 out of the 120 or so who took ateneo passed. I'd give it a difficulty score of 8.

La Salle was the easiest, perhaps even easier than UST. Almost all of those who took La Salle in my school passed, something around 100 out of 120 I think. So I'l give it a difficulty score of 6.

I think that all the hype surrounding UPCAT simply comes from the fact that people are more pressured taking it. For some students, they have no choice to go to Ateneo or La Salle. It's UP or bust for them. So the exam ends up as a be-all/end-all thing. In my school around 150 students took UPCAT, and around 40 of us passed. For those who only took UPCAT and passed up on ateneo and la salle, this was their only choice ... so they really felt pressured to pass. This is also the reason why there are more UPCAT takers then there are ACET or LSAT takers.

  4. I don't know if we took the same exam but I took my UPCAT summer of 2000. I can no longer remember any question in the exam but I would say it's a bit easy since my classmates and I passed the exam and we were on priority qualifier bracket. I didn't enroll in UP though.

    I'll scale 8 for it.
