  1. they shouldn't be in Emergency Services then - they don't HAVE to do anything

  2. er if these people pay their taxes and NI then of course she should-you are being very silly

  3. Nobody forced those people to work in the search and rescue team in the first place, in fact most people on search and rescue are unpaid volunteers.

  4. I think you've missed the point of being part of the emergency services.  We don't do it for money, or glory, I can tell you that.

The first rule of any emergency service situation is to protect yourself then take care of your subject.

  5. They don't have to they choose to, just as the people who have no respect for their own lives let alone the people have to rescue them choose to do what they do.

  6. The people who get themselves into tricky situations on dangerous mountains in bad weather should give some thought to those who may have to come and rescue them and put their own lives at risk.

  7. In New York State some communities charge those people for the cost of their rescue

  8. Of course they should. That's why they're called emergency services.

They're trained in all sorts of situations and it's their job to help anyone in an emergency, regardless of how the emergency came about.

  9. No .They should take out insurance then the emergency services could claim back the cost of the rescue
