  1. I have a savings account with ING.  It's pretty good.  What I like is that you can divide your savings into different categories so I have two "different" accounts -- one for the taxes/insurance that I have to pay and another one for college savings.  My only gripe is that I had a heck of a time setting my password.  Be warned that the letters on the keypad aren't real.  Your password needs to be all numbers.

  2. Hey Bumscrum, I don't know how much you want to save, but Ill bet ya this poster here would be a much better investment for ya...??!!! following is her post...who was listed like 3 posts before yours.    Her name was Tara, and I have no affiliation.  Should you decide to work with her...I take neither the credit nor the blame.  Good Luck....Its to bad that people in her shoes dont get a fairer shake in life right now.

How do I get a loan if my credit is too poor to get one through a bank?

Here are the details: divorce just finalized, ex ruined my credit. I owe two creditors, both in pre-legal collections. I want to pay them but don't have enough for the full amount. My credit is only FAIR and I cannot get the $5000 personal loan through a bank to pay them. I gross $30,000 per year and can easily afford a $300/month payment toward a loan. I don't want to declare bankruptcy for a $5000 debt.

I am past making monthly payments to the original creditors. I tried CCCS but they have me making $250/month payments until 2013, so I know I would be better off with a high interest loan. What is a reputable place? My credit score is 584 at present.

Also, I own a car, pay no rent (I just help out here and there with groceries) so I am able to do this...but I do not OWN a home so that is where I am really running into trouble.
