Im a Grade 8 Harley nut but i never liked them They just dont fit in

Well yes a lovely machine. The new 1250 motor absolutely hammers. Great thing to handle though its a very long bike they are so good to ride around. Water-coole dof course the V-rod so alot more acceleration compared to the normal V-twin HD Motor. Very economical as well. Compact fuel tank under the seat. Only down side to them is if you want to carry a pillion its very uncomfortable for them.

I had one black motorcycle and I don't ever want another one. You can spend 4 hours washing, polishing and waxing and after a 15 minute ride your bike looks uncared for. Not me, never again. However, if you gave free money to 100 new riders to go out and buy a motorcycle, I'll bet the majority would ride back on black .Too each his (or her) own.

Notice you don't see any Harley people talking about the legendary resale value when it applies to a VROD.

Should look at that if considering a VROD as a cost of ownership.

to me a vrod is a high performance bobber.  i call it a bobber because a bobber is a bike more for just cruising around town to look cool, it sucks for touring, carrying anything with you, bringing a passenger, or anything.

but it's got balls... and then some.  don't mind ninebadthings, he's got a hate on for harley, always will.... a vrod is very capable of spanking crotch rocket squiddy kiddies

so if you want to show off around town, it's a great bike

don't get me wrong, i've bought and sold 3 of them personally.

as to the night rod special.... it's the only choice in night rod as far as i'm concerned because the plain night rod has mid mount controls and they have a bad feel... it's not balanced right for mid mount controls, forward controls are the only way to go on a vrod... and the others including the special all have fwd controls
