  1. i would kill for a daycare at my work facility....i wouldn't have to drive across town and back just to take my kids to a good daycare. i would get a petition going and get ideas from the other moms

  2. From an employee's point of view...this is a wonderful idea.  My husband was actually asked if we would (I presently have a child care in my home) submit a plan for a child care that worked with the hospital that he is employed with.  They really wanted to do this for the employees... but when all the $$$ was layed out...it was too expensive for the employers because providing a child care facility was a "benefit" and the hospital would have had to take up the slack from the discounted rate the employees would have received.  Just some food for thought.  :-)

  3. I work as a day care worker, and i bring my son to work with me, I am not allowed to work with him as his key worker. It has its benfits, dont have to travel to nursery before i got to work myself saving time. But also while u r there u feel, I wonder how he is doing, and want to go over and give him some mummy love and attention, but unfortunately it needs to be kept at a minimum. I think every work place should have its own creche facility, as it would encourage alot of ppl to return to work. and for places where it is impossible, they should have alot of daycare centres around. e.g in town centres/shopping malls. Parents being close at hamd also has it benefits, for example if the child becomes ill. it can be quick and easy.. 'can we give child a some calpol?' he really isnt well.... he neeed s to go home  etc...

  4. It would certainly cut down on absenteeism; parents could spend time with their child during lunch; it would cut down on tardiness; moods would improve.

  5. Fact: to improve the economy the Govt in NZ is trying to implement women returning to the workforce by introducing childcare subsidies;

    Fact: retiring age in NZ is 65 yrs

    Fact: women with children from 0-13years old in NZ need childcare facilities

    Answer: type out a questionaire; do some primary research; do some secondary research; make your research show these results;

    Yes, I would appreciate day care facilities being available  -  but what happens in the school holidays when the facilities available are inadequate.......  I break the law - the kids are home alone; and I worry like heck about them; but I need to pay for food and the bills.

    That is a poll you could do anonymously;   how many women break the law with their children over the age of 5 in the school holidays - especially the long break over christmas.....employers only give four weeks a year....  how many weeks do children have off school..... twelve.....is the answer...

  6. This is a great concept. It eases stress about having two places to stop.  The parents will have an easier time getting to work.  I work at a center right now, and some days the parents are stressed to the max so that they can get to work on time. Children would probably spend less time in child care because children would not be there during their parents drive time. We have children that are with us for 10 or more hours because of their parents drive time.
