Thoughts on the name Caysen?

Question

The name would be for a girl. Both my husband and I love the name but we just wanted a few opinions.

If you do like the name Caysen, how would you spell it? Caysen, Cayson, Kayson, or something different?

Sounds like you named your kid after a dairy protein.  Sorry.

Caysen is just another trendy, made-up name, and that is actually the only real meaning it has:  "casein" (from the Latin word for cheese) is the protein that is found in most milks and cheeses.

I think it is a very unique name and pretty too. I think it is more boyish then girlish though. But I would spell in Kayson

I've always thought of this name as masculine sounding. I love it though!

My favorite boy spelling: Kason

If yoy were to use this name for a girl I like this spelling: Kaysen. It looks the most feminine and it doesn't have "son" in it. Good luck! :o)

EDIT:

I also like the spelling Kaisen or Kaisyn for a girl. If it was spelled Kaisyn, it could easliy be shortened to Kaisy (pronounced like Casey) for a nickname.

Well i like it. i actually have a friend named that( she is a girl). i like the way Caysen to spell it. With a o it sounds like cay then son not like cay- sun like it should sound! I hop this helped.

I don't care for it.  

If you want your kid to stand out from the crowd, teach them to be kind, to share, to be brave, to stand up for those that can't defend themselves, to be a scholar, to be a teacher.  Don't give them a name that they will have to spell for everyone that they ever meet.  This name will get spelled fifteen different ways, and odds are that your daughter will want a nickname as soon as she's old enough to realize that she can have one.  If you really want to see what I mean, keep a list of all the different ways that the name gets mis-spelled.

I really like the name...very cute!  I just would think it was a boy's name, but it's nice for a girl too.

I like the spelling Kacin for a girl and the spelling Kayson for a boy.

that's a very masculine spelling to me.

I am not a fan of it, but if I had to pick a spelling for it I would go for Caysen.
