Thoughts on the new World Heavyweight Championship Scramble?

Question

I didn't really like the participants that much but taking out John Cena who had...no reason to be there and adding Rey Mysterio in is the best thing they could've done. The scramble now consists of 2 storylines (JBL + CM Punk)(Rey Mysterio, Batista, Kane), and is for the World Championship after all.

Who likes the scramble more than they did before? Who thinks that the WWE knew all along that John Cena would not be participating and planned on inserting Rey Mysterio the entire time?

How will Rey's first appearance back be? Will he look like he's been to h**l and back? It seems obvious he'll still have his mask on, but will there be any differences? will he even show up?

it looks like a cool match but adding mysterio ruined the whole kane a nd mysterio storyline. John cena was much better in this match now this match is going to be g*y cause batista and punk are going to be doing everything as for the smackdown scramble i think jeff hardy is going to finaly shine he will pin probaly the brain kenddrick. ecw scramble just sucks  mysterio will probaly be ok but not as high flyin as he used to be.

so ur saying that Cena has no reason to be in that match! what about Rey? i guess he shouldn't be in that match too. i mean c'mon man that talentless hasn't done any S**t since he got dratfed to Raw, and he's in the title match now? REY is overrated man, and if he wins at Unforgiven, it would be 1 of the biggest piece of s**t ever.

Remember one thing Rey was called the giant killer in WCW because of his actions with Kevin Nash and Big Show so I'm looking to see a double team on Kane because with CM Punk and Ray in the scramble that's speed vs. power so a quick pinfall to get Kane out would favor everyone.

i think brian kendrick has a good chance at winning because hes never had a singles title and its about time he gets one jeff hardy could win he hasent had a shot at the titl latly and he could win and eather kane or rey mysterio will win the world title and as for the ecw title i think eather matt hardy will finaly win it or the miz will get his first singles title.

I'm glad Cena needed that surgery.  He's been endlessly shoved down our throats to the point where I'm hoping someone assassinates him, or something.

Anyway...

Rey is an interesting choice.  He has a LOT of ring rust due to not being in the ring for over three months (minus one short return and subsequent re-injury), and I'm hoping that his return will be more than "cruddy" like most wrestlers first match back is.  Rey vs. Kane just sounds dumb to me, though...  The styles clash too much, in my opinion.  Just like Rey vs. Nash and Rey vs. Show, the only reason why they were "exciting" was to see the little man win.  But in the end, the matches were both sub-par.

As for the scramble, I didn't like the idea in the first place.  Basically, this is just a way to get people into the main event picture that normally wouldn't be.  For Raw, it's a way to keep JBL and Kane as imposing threats without having to actually GIVE THEM the main event.  For Smackdown, it's a way to have flyers like Shelton and Kendrick have a shot at the big time, without having to really give Triple H a legit feud.  For ECW, it's a way to get Finlay into the title picture, without having to resort to a "Hornswaggle" storyline, and a way to get John Morrison out of a tag team situation and re-build his character.

This PPV's main events, to me, just feel thrown together, and I wish that they'd have just taken the time to make real stories.  Right now, this just seems like TNA when they decided to make "Lockdown" and just have every match in a cage...

I think it's overdoing the match...  and it's sullying the main event scene on each show.  Right now, Triple H is the only legit main eventer on Smackdown, and this match proves it.  On Raw, it feels like a match made up of mid-carders.  And ECW...  well...  they've never been main eventers anyway.

It's just a waste of a PPV.  :(

Punk - Sucky Champion

JBL - He has b***s end of

Batista - 4 Moves

Kane - i hope he wins

Mysterio - I like him but hes over rated

HHH - The Game, End of

Jeff Hardy - Most exciting face the wwe have to offer and will take a crazy risk to win this match

MVP - Best heel in the wwe, and a great performer in the ring

Shelton Benjamin - Best pure athelte in the wwe

Brain Kendrick - he sucks shudnt be in the main event

The scramble got beter when rey got in since he is a very good entertainer and can make the match good.I dunno who will win the champion maybe it ill be either jbl or punk.Kane,batista and rey have a storyline so they will likely just win the champion for minutes.

Well, I like the way the match is set up but I don't like the superstars for Smackdown.
