Question:

Thread breaking every 2 to 6 inches with sewing

My Bernina activa 130 started breaking thread when sewing. I have changed the needle,changed thread 3 times with 3 different brands and adjusted the top tension. The bottom tension seems o.k. I am attempting to sew a binding on a quilt edge. Any suggestions would be appreciated? Thanks,
