Player A - commited 1st foul

Player B - Got ball in hand, starts potting few balls then decided to play a safety shot and snooked Player A.

Player A - Didn't managed to hit object ball, does this means he's on 2nd foul?

Player B - Got ball in hand again, potted 1 ball then play safety and snooked Player A again.

Player A - misses and does this mean his 3rd foul and a lost of game?

Or must the safety shots by Player B be excecuted immediately, like not potting other balls 1st?

  1. it doesn't matter as long as its 3 consecutive shots in one game that player A commited fouls on he automatically loses the game.

  2. If the game is 9-ball that's end of game, it doesn't matter what player B does, he doesn't have to make any effort to bury player A, the 3 foul rule only applies to what the first player, the one making the fouls is doing.  It's just normal for someone to go right out to bury player A, especially once he's on 2 rather than remove some of the things on the table behind which he can hide the balls.  Also note that player B has to declare to player A that he is indeed on 2 fouls.

  3. If a player commits three consecutive fouls in the game of nine ball he loses if the three foul rule is being used. It is not used in some tournaments or leagues. Also the opponent must tell the shooter that he has 2 fouls before he shoots again. If he doesn't tell him then it does not count if he commits a third consecutive foul. Remember the 3 foul rule isn't always used so check the rules before you start.

  4. If the three foul rule is in effect it dosen't matter how Player A commits the fouls as long as they are consecutive. If Plalyer B makes a ball or doesn't has no effect on the outcome.  However Player B HAS to tell Player A that he is on two fouls before he shoots.
