Three aces for Tyres Bath Handicap Hurdle – Taunton Preview
Bathwick Tyres Bath Handicap Hurdle is going to be held at Taunton horseracing course today, February 21. The Class 5 race of 2m3f distance will begin at 4:15. The total prize money for the contest is £2,395.
The 13 entries for the high-voltage clash include Genstone Trail, Clever d**k, Spinning Waters, Tignello, Illegale, Time Book, Todareistodo, Bathwick Junior, Manics Man, Capdalight, Liscahill Karella, Roxane Bruere and Alarming Alacrity.
None of these runners has achieved any good victory in the recent past; however, there are three talented entries who seem to be in favourable positions to demonstrate decent performances in today’s showdown.
Below are the career portraits of the trio:
Roxane Bruere
Robin Dickin’s black mare bagged her first and last triumph in January 2011. Since then, she has been struggling hard for a breakthrough. However, the seven-year-old has delivered some excellent performances during this period.
Out of her last four starts during November-December 2011, the R E Hill-owned runner finished 2nd in three and got 3rd top position in one. This shows that the mare possesses enough racing talent, and she is likely to register the second
victory of her career today at Taunton, having 75 percent chances to finish first.
Genstone Trail
Since accomplishing her maiden victory in her maiden race on December 28, 2010, the Alan King-trained black mare has been losing constantly. However, her track record is much better than the other entries except Roxane Bruere.
In her last outing during the last month at Plumpton, the six-year-old fought somewhat well and finished 4th against her ten potential rivals. As far as today’s contest is concerned, the mare is expected to get at least second position.
Spinning Waters
Since his a couple of consecutive victories during May-June 2011, Dai Burchell’s black gelding has been winless. However, he has been exhibiting some good runs for last six months.
In his last contest at Ludlow on January 19, 2012, the talented gelding finished 4th against 12 competitors. Now, he is supposed to perform well today and clinch at least 3rd top spot at Taunton.
Conclusion
There is going to be a tough battle among the above trio today. Each of the three runners has enough firepower at its helm to unleash on the good to soft Taunton track. Let us see the way wind blows.
