Three equal competitors for Toyota Blue Grass Stakes
On the card of Toyota Blue Grass Stakes, three runners including Hansen, Howe Great and Prospective stand neck-to-neck, and there is going to be a fierce battle among them for the ace title of Toyota Blue Grass Stakes.
The Grade 1 contest over a distance of 1 mile and 1 furlong will take place at Keeneland racecourse on Saturday, April    14. Containing £290,323 in purse, the mega marathon will commence at 11:18 (GMT).
The high-profile competition has attracted 13 entries including Heavy Breathing, Gung Ho, Prospective, Hansen, Russian Greek, Dullahan, Politicallycorrect, Midnight Crooner, Holy Candy, Howe Great, Ever So Lucky, Hero Of Order and Scatman.
Here we take a glance on the career chart of each of the three favourite colts who are set to make big impacts in the coming contest.
Hansen possesses an epic track record. The Michael J. Maker-trained talented colt has won 4 out of his total 5 starts to date. During September and November 2011, the maverick sprinter accomplished a fabulous hat-trick by winning the first three races of
his career in a row.
After grabbing a runner-up rank in a race on January 29, 2012, he moved forward to finish first in a big event on March 3. He has earned four favourite tags so far.
Howe Great is on a hat-trick. The H. Graham Motion-trained bay and brown colt has won all of his two starts to date. After breaking his maiden on January 21, he bagged another mega triumph on March 11----for the last outing, he was 7-10 favourite.
The brilliant young runner will surely unleash a big run in the Grass Stakes in a bid to complete his hat-trick.
Prospective too has some iconic feats to his name. Mark Casse’s bay and brown colt has won 4 out of his total 7 starts. Making his debut with a runner-up position in July 2011, he stepped ahead to win a race each in August and October.
The gifted colt attained a mega triumph in January and March 2012. Between these two wins, he finished 2nd in a race on February 4.
In this situation, there will be a tough and close competition at Keeneland. Let us see who gains what. Good luck to all the contestants.
