_____________________________

2) 3/4(7x-1) + [2x- (1-x)/2 ] =x + 3/2

_______________________________

3) 6(3m-1) + 3(2m+3) = 1-7m

you can answer any of the three. and if you can then you can answer full.

  1. 1)

    (5x - 4)/8 - (x - 3)/5 = (x + 6)/4

    40[(5x - 4)/8 - (x - 3)/5] = 40(x + 6)/4

    5(5x - 4) - 8(x - 3) = 10(x + 6)

    5*5x - 5*4 - 8*x + 8*3 = 10*x + 10*6

    25x - 20 - 8x + 24 = 10x + 60

    25x - 8x - 10x = 20 - 24 + 60

    7x = 56

    x = 56/7

    x = 8

    2)

    3/4(7x - 1) + [2x - (1 - x)/2] = x + 3/2

    3(7x - 1)/4 + 2x - (1 - x)/2 = x + 3/2

    4[(21x - 3)/4 + 2x - (1 - x)/2] = 4(x + 3/2)

    21x - 3 + 4(2x) - 2(1 - x) = 4(x) + 2(3)

    21x - 3 + 8x - 2*1 + 2*x = 4x + 6

    21x + 8x - 3 - 2 + 2x = 4x + 6

    29x + 2x - 4x = 5 + 6

    27x = 11

    x = 11/27

    3)

    6(3m - 1) + 3(2m + 3) = 1 - 7m

    6*3m - 6*1 + 3*2m + 3*3 = 1 - 7m

    18m - 6 + 6m + 9 = 1 - 7m

    18m + 6m + 7m = 1 + 6 - 9

    31m = -2

    m = -2/31
