Three person team sparring? (or tag team)? 10 points!?

What is exactly is three person team sparring? What if I was 16 and female and my friend was 14 and male, would we be able to still do it together?? Any detail on how this would work would be great. Thanks so much and God bless!

No it won't work out that way due to some rules & regulations that will be an automatic disqualifications...Know your rules or google them alright.Plus safety issues for women as well in tournment rules

Each team sends up someone, they fight one round, get points, next fighters fight, get points, last fighters fight, get points, winner is the team with the most points.

Tag team is pretty lame as they keep on tagging out to avoid fighting. It's more of a novelty than competition. I see it mainly at local tournaments where kids are looking to have fun rather than fight.

Each tournament has it's own rules so you should check with them before competing. Some tournaments allow for mixed gender teams. You also have to check the age range for the teams as well as belt ranks. I've seen women and men spar each other in tournament. It's really cool to see a female beat up a guy. I saw a match where a female kicked a guy in the face hard and gave him a black eye. She is a world champion in sparring and she definitely showed that she could hang with the men.
