Three players expelled from Australian Ladies Masters
The Australian Ladies Masters on Friday took a disciplinary action against three players and expelled them from the tournament for breach of some rules.
The Aussie Ladies Masters is being played at Royal Pines, Gold Cost Australia, with a number of leading players proving their worth.
However, the decision that disqualified three players from the event could not disturb other players and the match has entered into its 2nd day.
An official of the European Tour of the LPGA informed the media that Annie Choi, a South Korean player currently based in Australia, Aussies Inhong Lim and Corie Hou were identified as violating the rules of the tournament and were disqualified.
The sources avoided giving the details explicitly about why the three players were disqualified but the official insisted that the golfers violated “winter rules”.
The players had already played their first hole of the second round when the decision of disqualification was imposed on them.
However, the tournament still went on, with other players playing their holes without any interruption.
The players, who were in the same group told after facing disciplinary action that they actually misinterpreted a local regulation during their first round that allowed them to receive relief in the aisles, but not in the long grass.

Annie Choi who had already opened her first round in an impressive style, was shocked at the decision from the Aussie Ladies Masters officials.
Choi kicked off the round by making some stunning putts. She managed to card a 2-under 70 and was chasing the leader Bo-mee.
On the other hand, Aussie Lim was not as amazing as Choi. She scored 80. Hou was almost the same, with a score of 81 on the leaderboard.
Hurt by her disqualification, Choi said that they had no idea that their misunderstanding of the local rule would lead them out of the tournament.
She went to say that Royal Pines was getting some rain at the time and they might have misinterpreted the procedure.
Choi further said that she was saddened because she was displaying an amazing performance on the course and the sudden decision hampered her from moving ahead.
However, the three players acknowledged their mistake. Operations Director of ladies European Tour Cyprien Comoy stated: "It was a surprise to them, certainly. The girls accepted the decision. It is not a pleasant thing but a harsh lesson learned”.
