Three players share lead in second round of Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals Open on PGA Tour
Three players are tied for the lead at the halfway mark of the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals Open as American, Kevin Na and South Korean, Charlie Wi have now moved in contention for the top slot to share the lead with overnight leader,  Jhonattan
Vegas. The troika is now settled at 12-under for the moment, with each of them ambitious to post a victory over the weekend.
Venezuelan Vegas, who was an outright leader from the first round, again posted an impressive display, carding a second round score of four-under, 67, at the warm and balmy TPC Summerlin, Las Vegas, Nevada. The Bob hope Classic winner pulled in four birdies
and a stunning eagle at par-four, 15th, to extend his lead through the halfway mark of the $4,400,000 event. He is eager to win another title on the tour before the end of the current season.
Vegas said, “I felt like I putted really well today. My ball-striking wasn't as good as it was yesterday, and that's kind of why the round wasn't as good as yesterday. But my putting has been pretty (good), which (is) what I've worked for.”
Na, who made headlines earlier in the year when he fell in for a record 16-over at a single hole at the Valero Texas Open, carded one of the most impressive rounds of the day. He pulled in eight birdies without dropping a shot through the 18-hole stretch
on the second day.
Na said, “I was just hoping to make some putts today because I was hitting the ball really well. Yesterday, I hit it really well. I felt like I could have scored better, and today the only difference was I was making putts.”
Korean Wi has also stood firm in the opening two days of the events carding rounds of 64 and 66, respectively, and has dropped just two shots in the 36-hole stretch so far. This is Wi’s second appearance in the event after he finished for a joint 53rd,
in 2008.
Three players including Hunter Haas, Brendan Steele and Tim Herron settled for a joint fourth spot, as they are trailing the leaders by one shot.
