By the third question, I am asking that if a Chinese conspiracy is proven (i.e. forging documents on some of their gymnasts) and they are humiliated after proving their might and achievements at the Olympics, do you think a war may be started? I remember another powerful nation once, in 1936, built a huge summer Olympic complex that astounded the world and opened its doors to try to convince the world they had nothing to hide and were a friendly nation. 3 years later, that nation, Germany, invaded Poland igniting World War II. Is Beijing 2008 a prelude to World War III?

  1. Who would China sell their goods to if they went to war?

The bigger issue will be that the Chinese will expect to make more money and lose the manufacturing / labor edge after seeing the rest of the world. $54 a week will not go far.

On a per-capita basis, the average Chinese worker earned an annual wage of 12,422 yuan ($1,630) in 2002, or 1,035 yuan ($136) per month. As of 2006, they were making 21,001 yuan ($2,756) a year, or 1,750 yuan ($230) a month.

  2. HAHAHAHAHAHAH.

Oh wait, it wasn't a joke. There won't be WWIII started because of faking ages. Geez. The Olympics were given to Germany because they wanted to placate Germany, the conflicts started before. It wasn't because of the Olympics.
