  1. Folks here are saying mass a lot....They are wrong.

    Taken from WIKI:

Mass is a fundamental concept in physics, roughly corresponding to the intuitive idea of how much matter there is in an object.

The volume of any solid, plasma, vacuum or theoretical object is how much three-dimensional space it occupies, often quantified numerically. One-dimensional figures (such as lines) and two-dimensional shapes (such as squares) are assigned zero volume in the three-dimensional space.

The first blank is clearly volume.

There are two ways I know how to measure paper width. One way is to use a s***w micrometer (aka caliper). Very handy...if you have one handy. ;-) This measurement is known as the gauge. Gauge...if that rings a bell...might be the answer you are looking for.

The other way is to get a big stack of paper...say a reem of paper and measure the stack with a scale/ruler then divide your measurement by the number of sheets in the stack. This is known by me to be the obvious measurement but is probably not what the teach is looking for.

The third blank could be guess, estimate...guestimate. Measure doesn't fit very well....cause that would be saying "It is easier to measure the size of a duck if you can compare it to the size of a cat whose size is 2 hands....(or however you measure a cat)

unsolicited advice: You should pay a little more attention in class....you'll find the answers will be more apparent during quizes.

Record the class on tape and take notes from the tape...this frees you up to pay attention during the class.

    Good luck on your quiz.

  2. Volume

length in mm (or possibly μm)

the third blank is kind of ambiguous, i would say "understand", "grasp", "fathom","relate" or something along those lines. Maybe "find" like the other guy said

  3. Well the first one is definitely volume.

  4. mass

    ply?

    estimate

  5. mass

    ?

    find

  6. 1. mass

    2. millimeter

    3.measure

not sure if these are the correct answers

  7. omg my sisters asking the same question

  8. The first answer is 'mass'.

The second one I'm not sure of, but I know the thickness of paper is about .081 mm thick! Just a fact lol.

The third one might be 'estimate' but I'm not sure.
