Out of these 16 runners, three names; Uncle Junior, Scotsirish, Fortification, are glowing prominently. These geldings have higher chances to thrive in the race.
Here we take a glance on the career charts of the trio:
Uncle Junior
The year 2011 was a successful and lucky one for him as the W. P. Mullins-trained bay gelding bagged four big victories during that period. The eleven-year-old dashing horse registered a fabulous hat-trick by winning three races each in March, April and May.
The talented runner went on to accomplish another triumph in the month of November. He finished 7th in his last outing on December 9.
As a whole, Uncle Junior has won 9 out of his total 26 starts so far, earning £92,989 in prize money. At the moment, he is carrying enough form which will help him thrive today. His chances to win are as high as 85 percent.
Scotsirish
Being a 9-10 favourite, the veteran bay gelding won a mega race on November 19, 2011. In his two subsequent races during the next month, he finished fourth each.
The maverick runner finished first again in his last outing on February 5, 2012 while being 4-9 favourite. He is also trained by Mullins.
Overall, the experienced horse too has 9 victories to his credit. He is supposed to show a decent run at Cheltenham today, having 80 percent chances to get top spot.
Fortification
Keiran Burke’s grey gelding has been enjoying good form for last five months. During November 2011, the nine-year-old runner finished first in a race at Exeter. He went on to clinch third spot in another race in the same month.
The brilliant runner won emphatically his last race on February 24, 2012. Out of his total 37 races to date, he has won 6 and all these victories include Chase. Thus, he possesses excellent record in this category of the sport.
Today, he is set to make a big impact again in the Handicap Chase. He has 87 percent chances to finish first.
Conclusion
Along with this trio, Garde Champetre also seems to be somewhat strong on the card. Thus, there is going to be a fierce competition on Tuesday. Let us see who gains what. Good luck to all the runners.
