Three stars to shine at Lingfield today – Maiden Stakes Preview
Bet At Blue Square On Your Mobile Median Auction Maiden Stakes is all set to begin at 3:25 on Lingfield racing course today, February 17. The Class 6 race of 1m2f distance has £1,704 prize money.
The entries for the ace contest include Chronic Flame, Ed De Gas, Gabrial The Hero, Marmas, Masters Blazing, Khatella, Moment In The Sun and Run Of The Day.
Here we take a look on those classic runners who are likely to fill the top three positions in the high-profile event.
Gabrial The Hero
The black colt ushered his career in the first week of the calendar month. In his very maiden race, the talented trainee of David Simcock performed excellently against 10 rivals and notched up the second position, exposing his inherent racing skills and
establishing himself as a favourite prospect for the next clashes.
Owned by Dr Marwan Koukash, the three-year-old colt is predicted to perform well again today, having 90 percent chances to register his first victory. It is hoped that his last exposure with the track help him thrive this time. Let us see how well he capitalises
on his form and capabilities to win today.
Moment In The Sun
William Muir’s filly has been struggling for a victory since the beginning of her career in July 2011. Though not won but the young runner has displayed some outstanding performances so far. In her last race a couple of days back at the same track, the three-year-old
fought confidently against 9 competitors and grabbed second position.
Her last two consecutive outings at Lingfield have helped her get familiar well with the course conditions. Today, she is likely to turn better and bag at least 2nd spot again.
Marmas
The Marcus Tregoning-trained colt also commenced his career on February 3, 2012. Competing against 10 runners, he ran well but failed to get any of the top three positions. Having getting trailed by 9 ¼ lengths, he finished 5th.
Though his achievement was not worthy at all but the way he fought showed his occult capabilities. Owned by Hamdan Al Maktoum, the colt is likely to grab 3rd spot in today’s race.
Conclusion
It is expected that Auction Maiden Stakes will be an awe-inspiring competition with the three talented runners battling for the top position. Let us go for the big show. Good luck to all the horses.
