Three teams that might become home to Hanley Ramirez – MLB Outlook
The Miami Marlins are making radical changes to their roster for the next season and it seems that their shortstop, Hanley Ramirez, might have to make way for Jose Reyes at shortstop. Further, with Ramirez not agreeing to forgo his position this easily,
he might have to part ways with the Marlins even before the team opens the next season at the new ballpark in Southern Florida.
The teams are spending heavily at this point and a player of Ramirez’s class will not have any difficulties finding a new alliance. Although leaving the Marlins at this stage might not be a desirable option, Hanley’s passion for the game might not allow
him to compromise his position for a monetary gain. Given his current form and fitness status, a transfer to any other ballclub might yield a contract less than what he already has with Marlins, but that should not be an issue for the player.
The Boston Red Sox might be tempted to reacquire the shortstop and new general manager, Ben Cherington, is ready to go all-out in a bid to revamp the roster. The Red Sox had a brilliant run during this past season only to falter on the verge of playoffs,
crashing out on the last day of the regular season. With pitching strong, the team needs an offensive overhaul and Ramirez might have the answer to their problems.
The San Francisco Giants went all the way to win the 2010 Fall Classic, but failed to earn a postseason spot in this past season citing a poor run of form. The team was capable enough of winning the pennant this past season as well, but the Arizona Diamondbacks
went a step ahead to grab the top notch in the National League West division. The Giants want a catalyst in their line-up and Ramirez has the ability to exactly replicate the same.
The Seattle Mariners are in dire need of a player to support Ichiro Suzuki and Hanley Ramirez has been a perfect team player for the Marlins. He has the experience and the talent to play the same for Mariners, if required.
