Three way battle expected in Derek Burridge Trophy Race at Sheffield
Sheffield is expected to produce a lot of drama in the Derek Burridge Trophy Race on Sunday, March 18, 2012. According to the schedule, the 500 metres race is due to get underway at 14:00 GMT.
The Grade OR heat, which holds a cash prize worth £200, has attracted some powerful hounds. Every participant is determined to display best of his skills to steal the show.
Among the entries are: Cavecourt Derry, Archielonglegs, Dacent Joker, Droopys Dayron, Due Haste and Miss Ada.

The result would have been embarrassing for his connections, but the dog looks h**l-bent to hammer his rivals today. It will be a delight to watch him run on the flat track.
Archielonglegs is another talented runner. In his previous race, he could not deliver his best and ended up fourth on the chart. However, nobody can take anything away from him, as he holds enormous talent. If L. Stephenson’s trainee avoids being bumped,
he will be in great position to trouble the judge.
Dacent Joker is also desperate for success. After starting off his career with a couple of back to back wins in January this year, the black dog lost his momentum. He has surely been struggling with his form, but nobody can put him out of the equation.
The aforementioned three hounds will try their utmost to produce a result in their favour, but there will be a huge obstacle in their way.
Droopys Dayron is in superb rhythm at the moment after clinching two recent wins. In his latest success, the black dog outplayed Expert Girl by 2¾ lengths.
J. Smith’s trainee will look to complete his hat-trick, but the trio of Cavecourt Derry, Archielonglegs and Dacent Joker is likely to get most number of bets.
