Three way battle predicted in Sunday’s New Orleans Handicap at Fair Grounds
New Orleans Handicap has three major players, most likely to battle hard for top position on the table.
Pants On Fire is aiming to make a strong seasonal return, while Redeemed and Mission Impazible seem determined to stay consistent.
All this drama will take place at Fair Grounds on Sunday, April 1st.
Including Pants On Fire, Redeemed and Mission Impazible, the Grade 2 event has attracted nine entries.
The rest of the pack comprises of:
Nehro,
Nates Mineshaft,
Toby's Corner,
Mister Marti Gras,
Thirtyfirststreet, and
Fast Alex.
The ultimate champion will bag a heavy purse of $400,000.
Pants On Fire is not one of the most consistent runners, however, his ability to stun his rivals cannot be ignored. The four-year-old sealed a couple of convincing victories last year.
His fresh success came on June 18, when he topped the table in the Pegasus Stakes at Monmouth Park. The colt’s previous outing was not impressive at all, as he finished fifth in the list.
After a rest of more than eight months, Kelly Breen’s bay and brown colt will be super fresh and full of energy. Hence, he is likely to give his opponents a real hard time in the middle.
Another contender with fair chances of winning is Redeemed. The four-year-old resumed his journey on February 11, when he took part in the Grade 1 Donn Handicap at Gulfstream Park.
Paul McGee’s trainee was in search of his hat-trick, when Hymn Book stepped up to win nearly two hundred thousand dollars. Redeemed was remarkable last year, as he clinched two back to back comprehensive victories.
Mission Impazible, who beat Redeemed by three and a quarter lengths in the Donn Handicap, will look to repeat the show. The five-year-old was unlucky to miss top spot by a nose, but he managed to defeat rest of the line-up convincingly.
With his recent success over Redeemed, the horse will be full of confidence. However, he will have to maintain even higher standards in order to keep things under control this time around.
Pants On Fire, Redeemed and Mission Impazible, all are worth considering. So, it will definitely be a tough decision for the punters to choose one of them. Bettor.com wishes best of luck to everyone.
