throat has been irritating for 2 weeks-what's up?

*My throat has been irritating for 2 weeks but it doesn't sore.

*I don't cough during the day and sometimes it feels dry.

*Mucus usually build up at night and get coughed out in the morning.

*I don't have mucus building up through the day either.

*Went to the doctor and he just gave me Sudafed prescription which doesn't help

I planning to go to his office to ask for more help, in the meantime, what's up with me?
