Hi, i was pulled over for going through a red light by police back in November 07. at the time i had witness in the car who agreed that the light was not red. Because of this rather than paying £60 and getting 3 points i did not surrender my license and sent of the part of the form they gave me saying i'll go to court. Its been just over 9 months now and i havent heard anything from them. Is there any time period that they have to do something within? or can they come to me at anytime now for proceedings

  1. Normally they issue the court date as soon as they receive your notification of request for a hearing.  It could have been sent to the wrong address.  Most hearings are scheduled within 90 days.  Contact the courts to see if there is any further information, there could be a warrant for your arrest for failure to appear in court.

  2. You must be in England...  You need to contact the court and see what the disposition is of your case.  Usually the cite number is your case number or they can run your name for information... Bottom line is that you don't want to accidentally find out that your driving privileges are suspended or you have a warrant for your arrest...
