Will there continue to be direct trains from Sydenham, Forest Hill, Honor Oak Park, Brockley and New Cross Gate stations to London Bridge once the East London Line is extended in 2010?

  1. There are no plans to alter the existing services. The East London line will be operated by part of Transport for London called 'The Overground' whilst services into London Bridge will continue to operated by Southern etc. The intention is to improve services, not to worsen them.

  2. good question, south east london is the worst part of london for transport. i saw a news item the other day about greenwich and there being too much traffic etc etc. Well maybe thats because with the dlr and the trains you can go out toward either london, or south to gravesend direction, but only on one line, you cant go round to lewisham, or bromley and forget croydon or going round london. it really annoys me.

  3. At the moment yes. And I expect an increase in services serving those stations, but possibly going to other destinations, not just only London Bridge, Charing Cross and London Victoria.

  4. Yes. There will be trains running from Caterham to London Bridge/Charring Cross Via East Croydon & vice versa (from London Out). Just that the service from West Croydon & Chrystal Palace may change. But the time tables are not drawn up yet & the East London Line is not open so plans may change nearer the time.

You know what the Train Planners are like!
