Throughout the Republican Convention and all the speeches about McCain?

what has been said specifically that McCain has accomplished in his three decades as Senator?

They mostly talk about his military pow experience, forty or so years ago.  It reminds me of when Kerry said "John Kerry reporting for duty", and then the Republicans went about trashing his military record.   (Democrats for the most part won't do that to McCain, because in truth they're a bit more honorable).

It's as if his how many years in the Senate hardly exist.  I always thought it was a bad idea for Kerry, I wonder if it will work for McCain (I almost said Bush).

"cut taxes".

Seems to be a promise of "4 more wars".

No changes from President Bush at all.

One of his accomplishments was siding with the White House and voting down all pro-veteran legislation since 2001, all war profiteering bills, and all legislation that would mandate accountability in Iraq, but approving all extended tours.  John McCain is just lucky that today's McCain wasn't president when yesterday's McCain was just another soldier son of an Admiral.

This RNC boring..and it's supposed to be an upbeat event.

Can you believe that Ms. Palin is still talking? She reminds me of my arch fundies lecture in college that used to take place on Mondays at 7am.

McCane, Himself, has stated that he has voted with Bush, on Bush's policies 90% of the time. That is scary enough to make me say no more Bush, NO Mack Cane. He's too old, she's too young, and they both want what we can no longer afford. I see people, I see many cardboard people.

The Republicans only talk about his POW time and things of the past not what he is going to be doing for the future and what he has done for America. It seems like McCain is more of a celebrity now because all these peoples speeches are about him!
