Throwing A good party?

I'm having a party for my 18th birthday,

I have a few friends that are 17,16 and up.

I've never thrown a party, i've only been to them,

I was thinking about having a theme party but nothing drastic, maybe like hawaiian or something, cuz its summer.

I need some tips to throwing a great party. it doesn't necisarily need to be themed

Have some good music that everyone will enjoy. Definately have some food that's easy to snack on. Get some games together that will get most of the guests involved like card games or Scene It.

have music, cake, food, drinks, a a bottle for spin the bottle and everything will fall into place. And maybe a game of truth or dare wont hurt..Have Fun =D
