Question:

Throwing Our 1st Housewarming Party?

My husband and I just bought our first condo and we are throwing a housewarming party. We are tight on cash with the new place plus we have an 8 month old daughter. We have a lot of ppl coming only because our families are so big...So I couldn't skimp the invites because u can't ask one aunt to come and not the other, etc. I've never thrown one of these and was wondering about the food. I informed everyone that the alcohol will be Miller Lite and if they wanted something else it would have to be BYOB. I told them they do not have to bring gifts (although we could use some and knowing our families they will buy us gifts anyways). So lets say its about 30 ppl if not more...What could I make thats cheap and easy? Or any other housewarming ideas you have would be great...other than food.

  1. Go to Wal Mart and buy a grill. Put on hotdogs and hambugers.

  2. Pizza, chips, cheese dip, mostaccoli, homemade cake...

  3. Sandwhiches?

    Sassuague Rolls?

    just snacks.

or you could do steak strips :D

and some bread and then side salads

Just like a kids party, maybe push the boat out and get some jelly and ice cream.
