Question:

Thrush - Too painful to eat help?

I am pregnant and am taking an oral antibacterial "mouthwash" for thrush (yeast infection of the mouth). I am in so much pain from thrush that I can't eat. I am so hungry, but eating anything brings me to tears - does anyone have any suggestions on what I could eat that would just be super easy to go down?

  1. i had that at christmas time did they give you nyastation not sure of the spelling but what i did is i got these little cloth peices liek you would put on a wound and insted of using it as a mouth wash all the time the doctor had me to take them pads and scrub it alittle not hard and it came out really fast and i would use clorapectic spray with doctors orders before i could eat and it helped alot more than just swishing it around in my mouth

  2. Blend up whatever you can and suck it through a straw. Get the straw as far back as you can, that's what I did.

I drank lots of V8 when I had it.

Hope the mouthwash works for you, it did not work for me I had to rinse several times a day with 120+ degree water, that was painful, but very refreshing at the same time.

  3. soup, jello, milkshakes, ice cream. oatmeal, maybe small veggies like peas, corn, etc.
