Thugs and police - Are they any different?

When you consider this is there any difference? If you dont pay your bill we send some of our boys round to smack your head or option B, we send round some police boys who will smack your head, get a lawyer to take all your money and then throw you in prison so more people can smack your head. Really in fact thugs smack heads with steel poles to force what they think is good but police smack heads and get paid by the state. But really when you look at it, police are just better equipped and have some legal consequence but are moreso trained thugs. If you are an illegal thug you may step on the wrong toes and get an even bigger thug to smack your head into hospital. But really both forces go around smacking heads if the people don't comply to the bosses rule. So really, whats the difference?

The police are out there helping to promote the safety and security of law abiding citizens, while thugs are out only for self interest.

Criminals have to watch out for both the thugs and the police.

Yes.  Police may have to be hard at times but they often have to deal with the scum of the earth and they work  for the benefit of a civilised society. They have an awful job at times and, despite some bad characters as in every profession, they are the only barrier between us and civil mayhem.

I SEE YOUR POINT OF VIEW, but thugs and policemen are quite different from one another. It is obvious that you keep a personal grudge against police in uniform or otherwise.

THUGS are paid by someone who is influential in society, to get rid of their rivals. Example of thugs are hired assassins, and group of guys that is employed by a well-known personality in business or in any kind of endeavor.

Cops or policemen on the other hand are employed by the government to regulate and implement rules and regulation of the State. They can be pretty mean and cruel and yes they are protected by the State to do you unnecessary harm if you resist arrest or violate the State laws.

I PERSONALLY DO NOT SEE THE COMPARISON OF THUGS AND COPS, yes there are cops who acts like thugs and works like thugs too but this doesn't mean they are above the law. EVERYBODY IS SUBJECTED TO THE RULES OF THE STATE no matter who we are in society.

There is one premise before I always remembered written about cops: "some cops are robbers, and some robbers are cops..."

I wish there was more of a distinct difference. The police are just thugs who are supposed to protect the people and enforce the law. It's too bad a few corrupt officers blow it for the rest of the police.
