Thumb-tack marks?

I had of posters on my white colored wall and now then i move out there are a lot of unsightly holes in the wall. Are there any ways I remedy them and make the wall look better ?

  1. Get a small tub of spackling compound (Walmart, KMart, Lowes, Home Depot - in paint department).  Put a dab on your finger and rub it into hole.  It will dry quickly and the holes shouldn't be noticeable anymore.


  2. plaster or nail polish that matches the wall.

  3. White spackling works, especially if the wall has the "orange peel" texture on it.  Even plain non-textured surfaces will do fine.  You can use a putty knife to smooth it as well.  Wipe the access off with a moist paper towel.

  4. White toothpaste works as a good short-term solution. Put a blob over the holes and let dry. This can be painted over. It's cheap and easy.
