Thumbnail generation

Question

hii use windows vista in my HP laptop... at first the OS used to generate thumbnails for video files... i installed a player called mpcstar it worked fine until i installed adobe premiere.... after that the generation of thumbnails stopped as well as working of mpcstar stopped... so i uninstalled mpcstar... i want thumbnails to be generated for my video files... what should i do....
