Thump noise coming from my car ?

I was driving to school one day and all of a sudden i started to hear a loud thumping noise. When i got home i thought it was bad motor mounts because the engine was moving bad when i gave it gas so i changed all three and the old ones looked bad. So i took it for a test and it gave me the same noise. It sounds like it is coming from the driver side. I strongly feel that it is a half shaft that is bad. it only makes that sound the minute i put my foot on the pedal. When i take my foot off it does not make that sound. My queston is it the halfshaft?

Yep...sounds like your CVJoint. Have a shop take a look at it.

I would check your suspension.

it could be the half shaft but nobody can see your car over the net. i would go get it checked out at a shop
