Thurlesbeg Talk to dictate her terms in the April Maiden Stayers at Henlow on 26th April
Henlow will become home for the April Maiden Stayers over 692 metres flat on Thursday, 26th April. Assembled to contest for the £150 prize money are Holycross Girl, Thurlesbeg Talk, Salacres Sparky, Magna Fiddler, Schnizel and Nire Orla.
Two on the line-up have posted victories through the very recent outings but the only hound who has been trained most recently is Thurlesbeg Talk.
Westmead Hawk’s three-year-old blue daughter out of b***h, Talk The Talk, had a training session on 21st April at Crayford over 714 metres which she settled in 47.64 seconds.
Her seasonal debut was in a Grade A9 460 metres flat at Henlow on 7th January after the 2/1 favourite raced for 28.62 seconds. She led the runner up, Westmead Louisa, by 2 ¼ lengths. She timed the track in 28.80 seconds and was soon joined by
Rays Marina.
Out of the twelve races that she took part in, Thurlesbeg Talk captured three races. After dominating the seasonal debut she posted two second positions and then hit a third ranking.
Her second celebration of the season was on 25th February in a Grade A8 460 metres flat at Henlow after she had reached the other end of the wire in 28.43 seconds. The 5/2 joint favourite winner led the runner up, Donnas Girl, by three lengths.
Blackrose Diva settled third behind the winner while the other joint favourite was the fifth contestant to race through the wire after the winner.
The last victory that she enjoyed till yet was on 8th March at Henlow over 550 metres which she settled in 34.10 seconds and took lead of the final seven and a half lengths, making Diamond Crash finish the closest.
The next five races of the three-year-old would have been a constant streak of five second positions in a row had the third last attempt not turned into a third finishing.
On 13th April Thurlesbeg Talk settled as the runner up of a Grade B3 550 metres flat at Henlow after the winner, Diamond Crash, had taken 34.40 seconds to reach the other end of the wire.
The trainer, J. Liles thought better of it and got her trained eventually. How effective will the training prove out to be tonight, will not take long to disclose.
