Thyroid Surgery - need some advice on this ?

recently ive found out that i,m having thyroid problem....

done the blood test , doctor confirmed that my hormone is well balance but he is not sure of the enlargment ...my right lobe is getting bigger so fast just in 6 months growing nonstop.

so doctor suggested me for an operation soon , because i,m very eager to get pregnant so he advise that i go for this operation then i get pregnant.

my question is : -

1. how long it will take for me to try to Conceive after the operation ??

2. is it true people are saying that you will feel pain and there will be soar throat.

3. can i go home the next day after the operation

4. Will the Anesthetic effect my baby since it will be there long in the body after the operation

i have enlargement on the left lobe too, but not as big as the right one...the doctor saw the scan and told me this is not that bad you need this because your are very young and cant be taking tyroidsin tablet for my whole life. it will take maybe 20years to grow ....by the way he is a specialist.

please advised i,m stress and really want a baby so much !

My wife found out she had a hyperthyroid when she was pregnant with our second daughter. This was 28 years ago. They just monitored the baby and my wife and the baby turned out great and my wife had her thyroid glands radiated after the baby was born instead of having them removed and has taken 1 small pill a day to replace the thyroid hormone that her body no longer makes.

  See an endocrinologist, as already suggested, and ask about the radiation to kill the thyroid gland. You just have to drink something nasty tasting one time. No surgery needed.

You should actually speak with your endocrinologist.  They are actually the experts of how our hormones work.  

My old endo. doctor said that she helped her patients with no diabetes & thyroid issues out.
