Thyroids... only if you really know!?

ok i really need to know if this is true. if u get a thyroid removed... just one.. can t make u messed up in the brain or act like you have mental problems and can it kill you over time? lets just say i think someone is lyeing to me. they act loopy and they have these strange out burst yet they did A LOT of drugs before. they blame the thyroid removal being the reason they act that way. this person is notorious for lyeing and tries to make us feel bad for her. she claims that since she doean't take her medicine that she is going to die slowly. please let me know if its true.. i checked everywhere and can't find the answer.

I have friends who have had their thyroids removed, and no they don't act loopy or crazy. And I'm talking a bunch of people I know, not just one case study.  I guess it could be one abnormal case with your friend, but I doubt it. What a sad thing to lie about. :(

I think that's complete bull and she's playing you!!

So she's acting like an idiot and blaming it on having a thyroid removed?

Why on earth is she not taking her pills?! She's right that she will slowly die if she doesn't take them, as they're there to help regulate her body which her thyroid would usually do! It controls the hormones that your body creates.

What a silly, silly person.
