Being a retired teacher I can say that most teachers do not allow ipods in the classroom.

well for our state testing we weren't allowed to use it... but for most of the regular tests we were allowed to.

Yeah. Most schools recommend you get a ti-83 or ti-84, but only get a graphing calculator if you need it for trig or algebra 2. Other than that, teacher won't allow it.
